(imported from a July blog post) I love the simple layout and graphic progression of this print ad for the renovated Auburn Nike store. Wieden + Kennedy has done great things with Nike- a partnership that has a strong history. One of my favorite Nike spots is The Morning After, which is "a satirical look at what a runner might face on the morning of January 1, 2000 if every dire prediction about Y2K came to fruition." I like this ad because of the exaggerated dramatic effects, but also because I can remember Y2K and the waves of panic that spread before the event. I am still bitter that my parents didn't wake me up to see the ball drop that night- at age 8 I deserved it, right? |
